Open For Contributors

Me just rambling on and on is no fun right?

And other people like Kevin, Lohan, Anon Anon (who really needs to get a name!) Yaaro and Ivap also have very very interesting things to say. (The names I forgot, don't hate me, I'm just starving and posting this before I run for lunch, so no time for a comprehensive list).

If anyone else is interested there are 2 options:

A) You can write it in to morquendi@gmail.com and as long as it's the kind of stuff that Nittewa's about, I will publish it unedited. But you have to give me a name, even a fake clever one like Ivap. Your email address will not be displayed unless you request it, and NO I will not sell it to a marketing company.

B) Get a Blogger account at www.blogger.com (it's easier than getting an email account!) and send me an email to let me know about it. Then I will send you an invite and you can become a permanent contributor. Write all you want, unedited.

There are however, a few conditions for contributing.

Commenting will be allowed on ALL posts. Everything said here is open for discussion. If you want to say something and not be interested in what others have to say about it, however rabid and opposed to your opinion they may be, go away.

This is about Sri Lankan Politics. Please keep that in mind.

If/when other people begin writing, other issues will arise. We'll deal with those on a case by case basis.

I look forward to having more opinions here.

Thanks to all.

I sure would like to write in Morq! Time is a major problem as with anyone. But will keep reading ur inputs when i get the time. Cheers.

Morq,

As I don't live in Sri Lanka it's a little hard to comment on the regular politics. However, I'll try and come up with some outside views and questions when I get some time.

Boy there's my name! Thanks for the invitation. I'd love to contribute! Sorry I missed this post ...it's been months isn't it? Btw, It is visible that we have "severe"(yes fundamental) political differences. Is it ok? And well, I won't be able to become a regular contributor like Morq, Time is the problem. But I will do my best to post at least 1 post a month

I love your site (and all the other great SL blogs) but I have to ask one thing - why are all of you only talking?

The facts are thus: Sri Lankan politicians are (to a large degree) either crooks, or uneducated, or both. Now whilst there is something to be said about less educated people being allowed to come to Parliament, the sad truth is that a person should have at least a basic level of education in order to know how to run a Ministry, or indeed a country.

It strikes me that there is a latent group of individuals in Sri Lanka who have the brains, the education, the commitment, and the integrity to run this country properly. Some of these people either contribute to, or read these SL blogs.

But they only talk. They get together, and moan to each other about what all the problems are with our country. Some of them even have the solutions to these problems. But they woudn't dream of putting them into action.

Their classic excuse is that politics is too dirty and one risks their life if they get involved. That is no excuse.

The reason that Sri Lanka finds herself in such a sorry state today is not because of the politicians. It is because of the people. They are too lazy to get up off their butts and do something about the shambolic way in which the country is run. But what they can do is bitch about it.

If you're not willing to make a difference, then stop complaining, because you are part of the problem.

Otherwise start up a party, get on the streets, and start campaigning. I for one will join you.

Hi, how are you, i think this is a very important blog and i unfortunately find that the response is poor, can we have some more ideas on the subject. in case you need some inspiration, please visit, www.security-risks.com, link on Sri Lanka, you will get some good ideas in solutions and comments.
